This update brings a range of improvements to our chromatography simulation software Ypso-Ionic®, but this post highlights one feature requested from the process development community:

Fraction Combination Made Simple
In purification projects, analyzing numerous fractions can be time-consuming. Often, recombining fractions is essential to reduce analytical effort and extract meaningful insights—but until now, it’s been cumbersome.

Our new Data Visualization interface solves this challenge by adding a fraction combination tool with powerful new capabilities:

✅ Fraction Combination: Merge existing fractions into a new fractogram effortlessly.
✅ Preview Mode: Visualize a fractogram with the new fraction boundaries and annotations before applying changes.
✅ Error Management: Benefit from real-time checks for naming, order, overlap prevention, and unit consistency.
✅ Validated Output: Generate a fractogram table with clear annotations of the combined fractions.

Available in both experimental and simulation contexts, this enhancement empowers all Ionic users to handle offline chromatography data treatment and fraction analysis with ease.

By the way, you’ll now also find the Profile Chart(s) tool in the new Data Visualization interface.
